April showers bring May flowers...

...and of course, lovely Memphis weather :-P

April, May and June are busy months for us.
We've had so far...

*APRIL*

April 14th:
~Grandma's Birthday~
~Wesley's 16th Birthday~
We took him out for his birthday lol, it was supposed to be a trip downtown...but that didn't quite pan out thanks to downtown Memphis being dead lol. But we still had fun!

April 15th:
~Mom's 50th Birthday~
We threw her a Surprise 50th "Bon Voyage Youth!" Party :-P
Didn't she look adorable in her grass skirt?? lol Dad did a good job and didn't let it slip!
Mom was completely surprised :-P
Klara cracks me up, she's like a lil monkey :-P And Dad's as mushy as always :-D

*MAY*

May 9th:
~Mother's Day~
It was a first of many Mother's Days for the girls :-)
Yup, that's aLOT of girls, it's the dominate gene with the VonB's lol
Dad honored his Mother during church :-) One of the blessings that has come with him being a pastor has been for God to have his parents be among the congregation and I know he feels very blessed and is very thankful for that. Pray for Memaw though, her health does continue to decline. She's still here :-) Doctor's didn't expect her to make it the 3 years she already has, but that just goes to show, as God said in his word, that He is the only one who knows the time :-)
Sunday night, we went to Tyler's dads house and had a yummy Mother's Day Dinner with his Mom. His brother and his dad are amazing on the grill!

May 10th:
~Dad's 52nd Birthday~

May 12th:
~Tyler's 24th Birthday~
I made him some Mario & Princess Peach cupcakes :-D
He loved them :-) :-D
For anyone wanting to know...Nom they weren't hard to make. Just time consuming. All I used was regular icing, starbursts, laffy taffy and tootsie rolls (the regular and flavored ones). NO FONDANT lol. I found a pic on line of the idea, used it as a guide. Rolled out the candy with a rolling pin, then used a paring knife and free cut out all the figures by just looking at the pictures. Not to shabby :-D

We went to Sharky's with his family for his birthday dinner, heard some more funny baby stories I hadn't heard before lol And apparently, there's a video I need to see :-P LOL

Still to come:

*MAY*

                                                                                *JUNE*
                                                                       June 6- I turn 25 :-)

June 7- Papa's Birthday, he'll be slightly older than me :-P lol

                                                                 June 14- Scott's Birthday

                                                      June 21- Mom & Dad's 30th Anniversary

June 30- Bethanie turns 23, Emily C.'s Birthday

And of course, there are other things going on as well.

It's just been soooo busy and time has been flying by!
I've got 2 weeks left at Lausanne :/ The 28th is my last day. It's been 3 months shy of 5 years that I've been working at Lausanne. It's crazy!
In honor of a job well done, Bethanie (who, after 3 1/2 years, will also not be working at Lausanne anymore), myself and Denise (who, after 3 years, won't be working at her job anymore) are going out to dinner on the 28th to celebrate :-) Should be interesting lol

We bought the game Pictionary Man...def a good buy! We had ALOT of fun playing it.
This was part of Bonnie's Arnold S. lol She was trying to get us to guess it was him by using the saying "I'll be back" lol EYE'll (the pic above) be BACK (she turned it around and circled his back lol) haha :-P

Saturday, we had the Ladies Luncheon at the church.
Bethanie ran the kitchen and Wes, Cody and Mathew were our servers :-D
Poor Klara had a bad time of it lol Her reflux was acting up bad, her lil face made me so sad :(
But then, when it was all over, she was back to normal :-P Reese slept most the way through the whole thing, lol, woke up WIDE eyed. Then they both got to spend some time with their Great Great Grandma, Memaw :-) The guest speaker was such a sweet lady :-) Very interesting, hope she comes again! And as always, Mrs. Essary did a super job with the meal!

It's been pretty soggy here in Memphis as of late. LOTS of rain, thunderstorms and a few tornadoes. I'm not a fan of the later :P And flooding. BAD flooding. Millington got hit pretty bad with the flooding. We have 3 families (I believe) in our church that lost Everything. So tragic. I can't imagine what it would be like to see everything I own ruined like that.
Thank the Lord though, the church wasn't touched at all and neither was Mom and Dads! We're working on gathering donations of anything and everything for the families that lost so much.
And after the floods...it kept raining!
It's like a river down the sidewalk at our apartment, so Friday, Tyler didn't wanna get his shoes water logged so he just ran to the car barefoot :-P That's one way to do it.
Sunday morning and afternoon was sunshiny for church though :-)
Haven't held both of them in a while, and the last time I did, they were mUUUUUch smaller :-P
Her ears make me laugh :-D So cute.

In between work, work, church, sleep and work...I always get a few text messages from Beth.
THIS IS THE SADDEST LITTLE FACE I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!
Bethanie was babysitting for Bonnie and when Bonnie called to check, Klara heard her voice on the phone and this is what her face looked like lol Then it got worse and she started really crying!! How did you survive this Beth??? lol
And hey, babies are great entertainment if you're bored :P

I rarely have a picture of me that I like, and this one was of both of us...double bonus! :-D
Things have been very up and down lately but this hasn't changed... I love him and he loves me "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."  -Joshua 24:15

Alot of surprises have come our way too...
God has laid on Tyler's heart what we believe is His will concerning Tyler's schooling (which was an answer to prayer bc we have been praying about it for a while). That's in the works. Waiting on a transcript and then 2 more steps and that's set! As I've already said, I only have 2 weeks left at my job.
My summer job is coming up FAST. Still don't know what God has in store for the fall, but I know God'll provide something.
Tyler too. His job was "supposed" to end about 4 times already, but yet he's still there! After they finally drop him, we don't know. I feel like God is really teaching us how to fully trust him. Don't worry about tomorrow, take care of now and he will take care of everything after that.
The car factor is still there lol I feel like it's coming, trying not to get restless lol. I know it's coming though! Been praying for some other specific financial needs too. "I just keep trusting my Lord, as I walk along..." :-D
The other day I found out that I have to pay my dentist bill IN FULL when I go on the 24th to get my root canal finished. I was so bummed bc it's a nice little chunk of change I owe on the balance and we had been saving to go on a small 2 day out of town Birthday celebration for us both the last of this month (we decided to celebrate special this year bc a. our bdays are so close and b. we both could use a break, we NEVER get to spend any REAL time together lol :-P), but now, we have to use that money to pay for my tooth :/ Being a grown up has it's draw backs for sure lol But I am still very much thankful that God supplied that money before I even knew I was going to need it for a gigantic tooth bill!
We are still "planning" to go out of town, God providing.
It's def a want and not a need we know, but if God provides the how, we already have the time off and the where so we'll be outa here! If not, we'll come up with something to do here, as always :-)

The longer Tyler and I are married the more excited I get at "looking back". I try to remember when things happen, like my unexpected tooth bill, that in a little while, I am going to look back and see what God was doing (I know we aren't always able to see, even after, what his reasons were, but it's still a good idea :-)). Looking back at what God has done has really helped me with my looking forward to trusting God with what's going on now. All the financial issues, the work woes and everything else...
God has just been so good :-)

Speaking of good things lol...
my house is slowly coming together! LoL We've said since we moved in that it'll probably be the end of our one year lease before everything is in and unpacked, and it's looking more and more that way :-P But I'm getting there! Cleaned out a few boxes the other night and it helped give a good cleaning boost. My goal is to get some stuff done this week! Stay tuned lol
Saw Iron Man 2 the other day, I was pleasantly surprised, it was GREAT! I was hoping they weren't going to rush it and it end up being a cheesy, 2nd flop. But it wasn't, it was really good. Summer movie outlook is good I believe. Which is nice, bc last year, there were VERY. FEW. GOOD. Movies. lol. We also bought both seaons of F-Troop (old nick show) couple weeks ago
Oh...and our pool opens up today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wOOhOO!!!! :-) :-) :-)
Oh yes, good times ahead :-P

So what are your summer plans?
